It represents a high resolution bulk density image obtained from and X-radiograph of impregnated soil. A special procedure is used for calibration.
This image is a vertical 2 mm thick slice vertically cut in a repacked seedbed submitted to 30 mm rainfall.
Please Note: This image sometimes does not display as
well as it might when viewed with certain browsers. Better results are obtained
by saving image [click with right button on image] and then viewing it with software
such as Paint Shop Pro etc.
